Hi,
Sorry for another transfer thread but I'm desperte.
I'm booking in either of the two destinations and need a transfer from either of the two airports! Cant seem to find anything at all.
Any help would be appriciated.

I have just found this site based in Peisey -
www.whiteride.co.uk - they specialise in trips to Geneva & Chambery. I have never used them, but I saw 2 of their vehicles today in Peisey.

Thanks for the replies.
I shouldve made it more clear that I can in no way afford private transfers. The return trip is about 4 x what I'll be paying for my accomodation. So looking for info on scheduled coaches or any other sensible way to get to both towns.
Pam W - Have seen that page but to be honest I can make much sense of it! I seem to be able to get to Bourg and back for 100 Euros which isnt too bad, but are there busses up from Bourg station to each area?

Martin., transfers - even by bus - tend to be very expensive and a big disadvantage of DIY as opposed to TO holidays, especially if you are on your own (with a group it's usually cheaper to hire a car).
The bus timetables are often hard to decipher - why not give the tourist offices a ring? I'd recommend a telephone call rather than an email. Are you looking to travel on a Saturday? There are a lot more buses, especially on the more obscure routes, on Saturdays than on other days.
One of the big advantages of places like Chamonix is availability of frequent, inexpensive, transfers!!

Chambery -
Plan (a) - Altbius departs chambery station 10:30, 14:15 or 16:45 on a saturday direction Aime / Bourg St. Maurice - 50 euro for the return trip. The 10:30 arrives to Aime station at 12:15 (in theory) and you can then get a train to landry and a bus to Montchavin les coches (mobisavoie.com) which should take about an hour.
Plan (b) taxi to the train station, 20 euro, get on the train head for Bourg St. Maurice (might be a change). Get off at landry and either (a) arrange to meet a pre-booked taxi, (b) see if your chalet co will pick you up or (c) stick your thumb out.

Aeroski du Tarentaise do round trips to Aime or Bourg for 131 Euros and seem to cover mid-week days - carry on as above.
Much easier to do if you're doing sat/sat - gonna be a lot harder if you're doing thr/tue or other combination

I'll be travelling on a saturday so no worries there. I've used bens bus before so will look into that. I thought I had a bargin break on the cards but I guess I was wrong hah!

Martin., yes, my transfer for 4 is more expensive than our flights...though our flight times have now been changed so I need to look into the Alti bus which wasnt feasible before

Yeah I have looked at UCPA, looks great but I'm hoping to go with friends in March. if that doesn't come off I'm seriously considering one of their guided weeks in Val D, looks like good value for money and a good way to have instant 'ski buddies!'

Mainly because of my bank account! I'd be there all season if my situation allowed.
Car hire is expensive for us until next season as we're all under 25 - which doubles the price!

Well, I've found a very reasonably priced transfer through TransSavoire (bus) from Chambery to Aime below Montalbert so hopefully I can find a bus up from there.
