disappointed to be a bit disappointed with hestra, i recently got around to getting some. not as nice dexterity as i would've hoped - will probably break in more (i hope). given the price though i've found at least two past gloves much better - marmot "ultimate ski" for a gauntlet style and the best i've had by far is the burton ak yeti glove (short cuff, snowboard glove). neither of which have the knuckle guard business which i guess will also have an impact on dexterity but then i don't typically go about punching trees or gate poles etc.
I'll stick with them and break em in (might bash em up with a broom handle or sumfink to accelerate the process?), but at those prices, not sure i'd go back for more when the time comes |
I peaked too early here, they is suppling up nicely and now starting to feel comfier - pretty confident they will just get better and better - the initial coating of balm/goo did seem to take a long time to really impregnate, but now it has it has definitely aided the break-in process. They might get more of my hard-earned in the future after all

I'll get to try them out in a few weeks, but these Dakine's really look the business. Nice soft leather palm (hope it is water resistant!), they are made with good sturdy material, feel nice and thick and warm inside and as already mentioned really fit me well. I'm not into gloves that are too tight, admittedly I don't want too much free play at the ends of the fingers, but I find a looser glove is more comfy and warmer. I guess I've got a 3/4" pinch at the end of some of the fingers, but I don't mind that. This year I'll take these new ones for colder days and my new lighter HH ones for warmer weather and see how I get on. I will post a 'glove' test report when I get back. I don't know how many ladies wear mens gloves, but I do seem to get on better with them.

Back in the UK now, gutted to have left a knee deep Chamonix, the only silver lining: coming home to my lovely new Da Kines. andersont, once more, thank you.

When I'd annihilated the display there were about six or seven pairs left. You can try calling them but I highly doubt there'll be any there at all I'm afraid!
