Poster: A snowHead

Kinda confusing....I'm trying to book tickets for the 11th of February and all the trains from Zurich to St Anton seem to be showing only 1 or 2 seats left??....is that right or am I being stereotypically Irish and doing it arseways.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

dazman, I think the detailed information relating to each specific time train showing only 1 or 2 seats available refers to the special price (19 or 29 Euros) shown against the green flower symbol. These special prices are specific to that particular time train. At the top of the page showing tickets and prices it shows tickets valid for all trains (ie any time train) but these cost a bit more ie 46 Euros (the price without a Vorteil discount card which I guess is something you won't have).
Hope this helps.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You could try the SBB site and see what that gives you. In theory you should get the same prices (except in CHF rather than €).
You could also consider the bus... not sure if you've checked that - http://www.arlbergexpress.com/

You'll need to Register first of course.

If you're going with kids the train will be cheaper I guess, I took my daughter on that route last half term and her ticket was very, very cheap.

dazman, Did that route a couple of years ago with my son (14) - I think if you book an adult ticket ALL children under 16 in the same family (you'll need to prove this) travel f.o.c.

All helpful foks....to be honest the Arlberg Express would be best but we land as one bus leaves and the next one is isn't till 3 hours later.
Anyone ever see the train completely full, ala no-one else can get on?

dazman, I was on it at half term last year on Saturday, probably as busy as it gets, it wasn't absolutely crammed from what I remember.

How close is the connection? If there's any leeway they might be able to wait for you. It would be worth asking them. They sometimes run a minibus as well as a coach so they can be a little bit flexible.

Ahh... that might be a bit too close, even with efficient Swiss baggage handlers. Still, worth asking them.

dazman, you might already have found the button for that by now but you can switch the OEBB website into English (button for that is in the top right hand corner of the site).
The ticket search results, availability and different tickets available are then also displayed in English.
