Poster: A snowHead

Looking at going somewhere different from Austria this year (possibly) and was wandering how the cuisine would differ at say.. Sestriere way.
I just love Gulaschuppe and it might ruin the experience if I can't get it out there! (Unless they offer something equally amazing)
Cheers!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Yes, I've had it there. That area used to be part of Austria till the first world war (which was fought especially in the Dolomites around the Marmolad and Cinque Torri). Still lots of German speakers, I am told.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yep, and some of the soup has been there since the first world war too - just being kept warm

Sestriere is as ugly as ugly gets but thats not to say food wouldn't be good. We had lunch at a restaurant just off the Olympic run and it was extremely expensive just for a snack!

snowball, psst, Milky Way not Sella Ronda / Dolomites!
(unless I'm mistaken, Austria didn't get quite as far as that border with France...).

Did not see a sniff of it when in Claviere a few years back. In our expeience the food is far superior in Austria to Claviere - don't know about the rest of the Milky Way though.

Not Milky Way, but just down the road (well a bit down the road...) they were selling it in Cervinia last week. Was quite a bit more expensive than pasta dishes though.
