I read that in Soll one can use a 6 day pass from 15:00 the day before .
So if you 6 day pass starts on a Sunday for example
you can ski from Sat 15:00
Is this cmmon for other resorts , or just a Soll thing

I recall that being mentioned in other resrts, too, probably france - tignes and flaine come to mind but I couldn't guarantee it. Resort info offices are prety good at answering if you drop them a mail

Certainly not in Le Corbier. It looks like this applies to Austria rather than France these days!

Cool. But would feel a bit of a tool if I geared up only to find it wasn't the case in said resort at this time of year for an hour or so extra skiing.....

Deux Alpes, so far as I know, you can't, although a number of the nursery slope lifts are free. Think you can buy half day passes though.

In St Anton recently, I remember being able to use our lift passes on the day before. I'm not sure of the time but I remember that it was quite late so that we could barely use two lifts before having to head back.

On the opposit tack , in Verbier, after your ski days have expired, don't expect to come down on the bubble for the train at Le Chable next morning---your pass has expired the night before.

I can definitely confirm from personal experience that it is true in the Ski Welt, even though not advertised.
When I went to Going, I arrived in resort around about 2:30PM, and decided to get an hour or so skiing.
Went to the ticket office at about 14:50 and asked for a six day pass from tomorrow plus a "post 2PM pass for today", and the lady in the office said - you don't need the post 2PM pass if you can wait 10 minutes, the six day pass will be valid.

Hi Everyone
Does anyone know if this is done in Portes Du Soleil (Avoriaz in Particular)?
All being well we shall arrive in resort around 12 and would be great to get an extra afternoon in. Failing that I may just buy and extra half day.
Thanks in advance.

You can do the same in the Arlberg with advance sales from 4pm the day before. Doesn't give you long, but enough to get a run or two in.

4 Valleys is the same. Sometimes even earlier if you get a nice person at the ticket office, and not just six days - anything from a 2 day pass up.
