Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mid March is peak season in many resorts. If you want sensible advice here you'll need to give us a bit more information about your group - size, type of skiing, experience, what sort of accommodation, what sort of resort you like, night life, etc etc

shorty118, Mid March is a great time to go and this year it looks unlikely lack of snow will be an issue.

what's the ability mix in your group and is your idea of apres table dancing or pipe & slippers?

I have had a week in mid March for the last three years in the 3 Valleys and it's been superb. Ok last year's snow was poor but we still had a great trip.

If things continue the way they are at the moment you will have very little to worry about in terms of snow - hurrah!!!

This year we are off to Les Arcs for a change but again going mid March - it's a fantastic time to go skiing IMO. Although i do love a cheeky January trip and then a few days in April to round off the season Very Happy

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Sunshine81, just a few days pre-crimbo and I beleive that is the perfect season, leaving Feb to those who have no other choice snowHead

shorty118, you could have a look at the holidays organised at UCPA centres in France - Action Outdoors organise from the UK. You need to look at the levels being catered for in the various centres. They do all in holidays, including full board, lift pass, equipment hire and often tuition too, at an unbeatable price. The tuition available is at all levels and people generally rate it. Your racers might enjoy doing off-piste - some of the centres run off piste guided courses at all levels, up to really gnarly.

I'm going mid-March to Valloire.

I've never been before but from what i've read it might not keep your ex-racers entertained, but has a pretty good size area (150km of pistes i think) for the €160 it costs for a weeks pass.

There's a fairly mixed bunch of us going too, if it snows loads while we're there, the more seasoned can go off-piste, but if not, i'll be happy just as long as i'm skiing even slightly down-hill! snowHead

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

shorty118, Take 'em to Verbs - once you've been with work you will want to go back and it sounds ideal for your group. (your sis may need to extend her student loan but they are famously reckless so that should be Ok)
snow conditions
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

had fabulous conditions in Mayrhofen, Livingno, Bormio and Kuthai on a road trip last year don't think you'll have any problems with snow conditions at that time of year so i'd concentrate on getting the right resort for your group.
