Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Italy resort help please!

Hi all.

We are heading over to Italy boxing day, southern Piemonte region. It seems this is the only place in the world to miss out on snow at the moment, there will be loads. Later, I am sure!!

This is a bit of a pain, as we want to ski!

My question to the snowheads massive is... Which resort is closest to us with snow?

The nearest large town to us is Ceva, nearest resort is Frabossa Soprana.

If it was me, I may be tempted to hire a car and whizz up towards turin, then just take the new motorway up to the Val Di Aosta. There are loads of resorts with big dumps around there or within a short drive. About an hour and a half from your resort to the snow ? - got to be worth it

Sounds good to me.

We will head North and play. Last year (and for MANY years previously) it has snowed and been great. Our resort (Viola St Gree) only re-opened last year and could really do with some snow to pay for it all!!
