Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Prescription sunglasses bought online

Anybody know a source of online prescription "sport" sunglasses?

Plenty of glasses available online for a few tenners including dark tinting, but that's not quite the same as a suitable pair of "sport" sunglasses that will keep the glare out from the sides of the lenses as well.

Budget: low as no doubt they'll get broken (I know I can buy a pair of Oakleys for £250, thanks!)

Otherwise I'll stick to using my bare eyes which aren't that bad really.

depends on what prescription you need - as most sports glasses are curved it can be a problem if you need a higher prescription.

James the Last, try these guys... http://www.isyte.com/ - ask for Jacqui. If it's an uncomplicated prescription and you know your PD (it should be on your prescription but often isn't), then she can tell you which models will accommodate. The Oakleys are made up in their own facility in Ireland so they are proper Oakley lenses.

James the Last, sorry, just spotted you don't want to shell out on Oakley. Ah well, they're only your eyes.

James the Last,

Have a look at http://www.uksportseyewear.co.uk/product.php/162/prescription-sports-glasses
The big thing I found was getting something that stopped the glare coming in from the sides.
I recently paid £220 for a pair of prescription Oakley Flak Jackets but I really don't think they are worth it. The arm design makes them a really cr*p fit under my bicycle helmet Sad

I use contacts with goggles, but my vision will never be as good with contacts as with regular glasses due to them needing a specific orientation (due to my astigmatism) and my eye always moves the contacts out of place slightly.
Depends on what James has, I guess!

We've used RX sports for prescription goggles. Always a great service, they take care to get the details right. We were sent out a box of goggles to try on and keep the best fit. They also have prescription sunglasses.
