Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm developing an application where you can write about your ski days and keep track of your own and friends days in the snow. Add photos, videos and also a GPS track (from you mobile phone or GPS device) for viewing the day on the map. The application is fully operational now, and I hope that maybe more of you can have use for it and could give some feedback on improvements and new functionality.

All feedback is welcomed...

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Thats an interesting concept! Do you mind if I ask how much it cost to set up/build that app. Apps are a business area that I am interested in but have no knowledge of.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'm afraid I can't help you there, as this is something I do just for fun and to learn and explore new technologies. The cost of running an application like this is minimal, but I don't see any business in it. My motivation for working on it is that I personally find it nice to look back on those good days in the snow, follow friends and also read about other people's snow adventures. And I'm happy to see that many already have found the application useful and have started writing about their ski days.

And with the latest feature I added, the possibility to upload a GPS track from your ski day, I hope to later enable map services where you can search for reports in an area you want to ski. You can see an example of a mapped ski day here: http://apps.facebook.com/snowlog/view.php?day=497

So I hope that other users of this forum will find it useful and write about your ski days! May the powder be with you...
