Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Will Marker M11 fit thinner skis?

Will the Marker M11 binding be ok to use on skis meant mainly for the piste say those from 70-75mm underfoot?
The bindings say they're targeted at freeriders and bit worried the brakes might stick out too much - they are currently on 92mm twin tips.

And the binding? How much clearance either side of the ski does the binding plate need to have?

Do you develop massive edge angles? If not don't sweat it.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Just measured the plastic plate, it measures at 75mm at the widest point so would it be better to get 75mm skis underfoot and up?
Wouldn;t the plastic bit touch the snow on edges it the skis were say 72mm?

GordonFreeman, Pretty sure you can get an 85mm brake for the M11. Contact any store and they should be able to source them for you from Marker..

not worried about the brakes so much anymore, more the size of the plastic plate.
If the plate is 75mm, then I'm guessing I can't go lower than 75mm for the underfoot width?

The brake I could bend inwards a bit couldn't I?

no, I assume your boot would touch the snow before that binding would, either way I'm pretty sure it'd be fine.
