Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

homers double, how was it? My son has fancied trying it but I thought he was a bit young at 6. What would you say the age range was? Did your child enjoy it? How did he/she get on? I'd be grateful for any info snowHead

sarah, Kids from as young as 4 do the camps. The average age is probably in the the early teens but Pat and his crew pay very special and delicate attention to newbies and young participants.

Could not reccomend it enough we put my neice in when she was 8 and Becky looked after her so well it was amazing.

Just make sure the young lad has a helmet and he will be fine. They teach everything at the students pace wich is reallly nice.

They are all done till early next year now due to training commitments from some of the coaches. Victims of their own success I guess.

New camps start in may, good session and the little feller was grinding the box by the end. Even got one of the free prize T's.

Age range was as above, 4 upwards.

I would definitely echo the comments about the quality of the crew at these - took the lad to his second one at Bearsden last weekend. He is usually a dryslope and draglift (particularly rope-tow) hater, but absolutely loves these days.

Last year, as an absolute beginner to freestyle, they concentrated on balance for grinds and spins, with a little jump - this year he was going off the larger kicker pretty quickly, landing jumps and getting in the odd grab.

Throughout the afternoon, I heard constant positivity and encouragement from the coaches, but even more impressive were the participants who just kept on getting up from falls, brushing themselves down and going again.

They give out prizes at the end of the session, including for 'attitude' and 'hard work', as well as for best trick etc, so even the beginners are in with a shout (my son is very proud of getting a prize last year and this).
