About 18m long with wheels in each corner. But that's not important right now.
(Sorry, I couldn't resist!)
Welcome to s ccc. Hopefully someone more useful will be along in a minute.

Why do you need a ski bus in Sauze? It's a pretty small place and nowhere is that far from the lifts. Where are you staying?
Skiing from Sauze to Montgenevre is a *long* day, especially if the steep (black) drag over to Sansicario is not open - in which case you have to go via Sestriere, which is even further.
Or are you trying to get a bus from Sauze to Montgenevre??

Hi,
If you are at one of the outlying hotels outside of the center they are every few minutes. Years ago I stayed there can't remeber waiting more than 10 minutes and there are plenty of bars nearby the stops to have a drink while you are waiting.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

As far as I know, there are no buses from the other valleys back to Sauze. If you get stuck in Sestriere (or worse, Montegenevre) when the lifts close it is a very expensive taxi ride back home.

blimey we stayed in the centre and we used the shuttle buses, bit of a flippin trek uphill first thing in the morning!! and the shuttle buses take you to the lift that goes straight up to the ski school meeting area, and access to the rest of the mountain. We found them (xmas time) to be regular and never had a problem getting on one, coming back was a bit of a differant matter, and we did walk a few times due to the queues, but as we left boots and skis 'up the mountain' it wasnt a bad trek back as theres loads of 'resting' places some even with cider (we did have two young uns in tow as well)

was there last year. the local buses are free on ski pass and are frequent and regular. They will take you to the two main lifts Clotes and Jovenceaux in Sauze. They do not take you to other resorts on the range ie Sestriere, Claviere & Montgenevre. There is a very unreliable and infrequent bus route via Turin to Sestriere which one of our party looked into after breaking his collar bone so he could meet up with us for lunch. Needless to say he didnt make it and it all got too hard. Sestriere is easily in reach on skis and has some really nice runs to it plus a gondola link.
In summary - local bus good but further afield poor

Catch the bus in the morning to save the walk uphill. Ski/board down via Clotes lift and walk back down hill in the afternoon (Unlesss you are at the bottom of the village). Beginners or the less confident may need to ride the sportinia lift back down and catch the bus (this lift is a bit further away) as the runs back to the top of Clotes are red (Clotes run back to Sauze is blue). Ski Buses were generally reliable.
