Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Pyrenees Half Term- Anyone going? Any advice? Randonnee hire?

Just made a reservation for 3 nights 13-16 Feb on our way to Barcellona. Booked currently at La Molina, but this can be cancelled 4 days prior, so we may make a back-up somewhere else and monitor the snow. We are coming from France, but think the Spanish side might be a better option as their ski week is (mostly) the following week..

Does anyone know if it will be easy to hire AT/randonnee gear for a skin up with an easy ski down, as I have been cleared by my PT for this?

One of the ski schools there told me:

During this week we have workshops in English, since there are English clients.

3 days / 3 hours day (9 h.) = 81 €

Children = 81 €
Adult = 81 €

Will probably do this with my 8 y.o. daughter as I am not certain if I will be 100% cleared to ski fully.

Off to Andorra for half term. Funnily enough the pyrenees has snow now unlike anywhere in the alps!

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It is easy to hire in La Molina. I have been in La Molina several times during half-term week and its blissfully quiet and cheap compared to France. It is worth buying the full lift pass and going to Massella also - the runs there are in trees and very pretty.

casnbs, thanks...have you actually hired AT gear including skins or just your typical alpine/downhill skis?

 Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I have only rented downhill ski equipment. There are however several rental shops in the village all of whom seem to have a pretty comprehensive range of different gear, so I don't think that you will have a problem.
We have never used the ski schools but I have heard several giving classes in English whilst I was on the slopes there.
La Molina and Massella are great resorts - you will really enjoy being there. At the weekends they are busy because they are close to Barcelona but during the week they are great.
