Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski school recommendations in Soll, Austria

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I've been asked by a friend who has never been skiing to look into ski schools in Soll. Has anyone got any suggestions / recommendations? Neither this friend or her boyfriend have ever skied before, are going just the 2 of them and are working on a budget, so although private lessons would be good for their skiing, I feel that group lessons would be more beneficial for their wallets and the social aspect....

Ideas?

mustdash, Said it before....now saying it again....don't waste a ski holiday learning the basics. Are your friends within reach of a dome? If so,look into 'learn to ski in a day' type courses. If you crunch the numbers(holiday/passes/tuition etc)you will find its cheaper.and can be very effective. You get all the bum sliding out of the way,and hit the slopes running...so to speak wink Then,by all means, take improver lessons...they will then be much better placed to benefit from them. There is loads of gentle skiing at Soll to firm up tecnique.
There will be ski schools there(though I'm not well placed recommend...never used any). Certainly, rank beginners will end up on the cow field by the gondola which, just about, has a slope. As I recall.looking from a distance, there seemed a lot of walking involved rolling eyes
If they have made no prior arrangments, they could easily waste a day just hiking around asking? Someone will be along soon that has actually used a school there....however,my initial point still stands.

snowskisnow, I've already suggested that to them, however, that doesn't detract from their need to progress from a day in a fridge. Hence my request for information concerning ski schools in Soll, as opposed to lessons in the UK. Thanks for the reply though.
