Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Maybe I should post a clip from lower down in the Super C, you can see some of the faults quite clearly - though in my defence, it wasn't the easiest skiing in the world and I wasn't likely to carve perfect round turns there).

It would just be nice to see horizon - sod the analysis!

I'd like to see it. After all, skiing is all about good 'outcome' Toofy Grin

Well until I get home tonight and post the short clip from Super C, if you haven't seen it before here's the 5-minute clip from two years ago in Via Lattea, with me as the second featured skier. Most skiing is relatively mellow but all offpiste.

I hope it's not blocked in the UK, I can see it in Belgium.

Re "too much pressure at the end of the turn" - I feel that sometimes, but it seems to me that completing my turns across the slope even more (as FlyingStantoni suggests above, and I think he's right) would lead to even more pressure at that stage, as the direction of movement changes?

Nice skiing. Too much pressure at the end of the turn is a problem I have too and suspect it's because we start to pressure the ski late and then hard, often finishing the turn with too straight a leg. Try this - for a right turn begin to pressure as early as you can in the turn (e.g. 1 o clock) build up the presure to max out at around 4. Then reduce the pressure by sucking up the feet gradually but still turning the skis across the fall line into the next turn.

Your skiing is nice and dynamic although Snowball's looks slightly more controlled and he has by far the better Moustache. wink

You look a much better skier when you aren't trying to look like a ski instructor and just rip the pow! Landings could use some work though. Try not falling over next time Laughing.

Yes, there had been a huge dump which made for high avalanche danger so not much steep skiing.

Yes but dangly bits on the extremes of the moustache are unlikely to have been nasal mucus unless they were formed during a period of strong winds blowing the nasal discharge sideways. It is however unlikely that such a large dangly bit could withstand the extreme forces generated by side winds. It's hard to tell without a video anlysis or tasting but the shorter dangly bit in the middle just under the nose, that could well be one big bogey.

(just thought I would keep up the theme of analyzing everything to the 'enth degree)

PS wink = only kidding
