Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Munich - St Anton by train is it ok?

Hi all

As the title says by train Munich (Memmingam) - St Anton in mid January is it ok?
The price of the flights seem too good to resist - a good couple of hundred pounds cheaper than Innsbruck or Zürich.

jablonka, Memmigen Airport is 100km west of Munich, just south of the A96 Munich to Lindau autobahn.

I believe a snowHead called boabski used it last season to get a quick trip to St Anton in. He can tell you how easy it is to transfer by train as I think he used that means of transport.

You need to take a bus or taxi from the airport to the train station. Timetable not available for January yet. It wonot change much so here is some idea

jablonka, It's more than alright, it's the best. Just booked our trains from MUC to St Anton. Never done Memmingham is it Dan-dare? If so won't be going, but if some other carrier goes it's very tempting.

Since no-one yet seems to have got the name right, it's Memmingen Laughing. You'll need it to look up the times on the Deutsche Bahn web site, since stanton's link has timed out now.
