Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Infineon Technologies, the German semiconductor maker, announced its entry into the wearable electronics space by showcasing a snowboard jacket embedded with electronics at a press meet in Bangalore .

Infineon has collaborated with sportswear and sports-gear maker O’Neill Europe to produce an intelligent jacket which is expected to go on sale in Europe by end August at a retail price of sub-€500.

The jacket, called ‘The Hub’, comes with functions like mobile telephony and MP3 (a coding standard for compression of data) player. Woven into the jacket are electrically conductive fabric tracks which connect the chip module to a fabric keyboard and built-in speakers in the helmet.

The chip module contains a full-featured MP3 player and is Bluetooth enabled. The microphone is integrated in the collar of the jacket. The snowboarding jacket wearer can listen to music and also take mobile calls said Reiner Schoenrock, director, media relations.

Infineon has firm projects with over 200 companies in the textile industry and many such wearable electronic clothing will soon appear in the market, he said

Jonpim, Seconded. Though it would have needed pretty powerful air conditioning up at Les Arcs today. Solar-powered maybe? Windpower might be the answer, but it would be no good for snowboarders.
