Just doing the hotel information boards for next year (OMG it comes round quickly don't it!!)
Anyway, am looking at my list of "stuff to take with you on to the slopes" each day and would like some feedback.
So:
Liftpass
Insurance document and EHIC card (in plastic bag)
Money
Boots, poles and skis/snowboard
Helmet
Sun cream
Glasses & Goggles
Gloves
Warm hat
Lip balm
Extra layer of clothing
Piste Map
Chocolate bar / sweets
Piste Map
..........
..........
..........
Anything else ??? suggestions please
Oh, and before the DIY'er jump in we take "normal" people on holiday so please don't suggest, gaffer tape, screwdrivers, sandwiches, flask, metal detector, JCB, inflatable cafe, fire lighters, BBQ, etc
And before Admin jumps in no you really don’t need an Ipad, GPS, small laptop, SQL handbook,

Just to copy some of the details I have put in the answers to the PM (thanks for tjhose BTW)
This year we are pre-printing (with all the correct details, hotel, resort, passport number, parent's details, reps phone number, etc, etc) laminated cards for all kids under 16. This will be put in the welcome packs, along with a plastic tie, so they can be permanently attached into a child's ski suit pocket
see here for a sample
Good one - have added it to the list at the top[/url]

Ditto above. I always stick something like a cereal bar or bag of Haribo in my pocket for on the slopes.
Edit: Not quite ditto above, seems quite a few of you posted as I was typing!

I'd add credit card to money, and mobile phone with emergency number/rep's number pre-programmed.
Small packet of tissues.
Camera
I never ski with water bottle - would always worry about landing on it! Plenty of places to spend beer vouchers on the hill.
If skiing in a group, especially with children - agree a meeting up strategy in case of someone taking a wrong turning - not strictly something to take, but has saved us in the past!

It happens. We had guests that left the chalet, walked the 50m or so to the lift, went up it, got out and then realised they'd left their skis/poles back at the chalet. Mind you these were the same ones that decided to light up a joint in an almost empty bar. Intelligent they were not...

I always take a mini pack of wet wipes - doubles up as emergency loo roll, clearing up accidental ketchup spillages and running mascara. probably useful if you have kids/ useless adults with you.

Loot yourself some really fat skis - it'll help with the weight distribution.

Tried these on at the ski show. Nice gimmick. Then I clocked the £30 price tag, gave a little yelp, and put them back on the shelf.

In Glasgow they didn't put the price on them - you had to ask. Decided that if I had to ask then I probably didn't want to pay the price - now I know I was right!!

Add EHIC (or E111).
The printed and laminated card looks jolly good. I would suggest adding phone numbers for the piste rescue service(s) and for the local police of the resort or resorts. Additionally, have simpler versions (ie omitting personal details) that can be given to the adults.
I ski with a plastic bag in my jacket pocket, it contains a copy of my insurance and a piste map. In resorts where hands free electronic readers are used, the bag also has my lift pass. People with medical 'issues' might include details of their condition and a list of any medicines they take.

Is covering the face illegal in France. My reading of the law is that balaclavas etc are specifically banned.
