Poster: A snowHead

Once heard some chaps talking of an overnight mountain hut which can be booked somewhere in the Morz region of PdS. Has anyone stayed in it or know how to book it or similar?

Restaurant Abricotine next to the run of the same name half way down the Lindarets valley (between Avoriaz and Chatel) has overnight accommodation

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks very much for that but it looks from their website as though they take groups of 10 Minimum! in winter. Not sure if this is a typo. will enquire directly with them and post back for one and all

Yes, jazzmatic, they have a minimum.
Highly recommended though.

I don't know Morzine but there are Refuges all over the place which you have to ski or walk to. Most are catered and there is no minimum on those. Most have communal rooms but a few have more privacy.

jazzmatic, you might try dropping Annie Donovan an email. She knows the area, and refuges, really well. www.anniedonovan.co.uk

We stayed at the Abricotine refuge a few years ago, but in the summer with mountain bikes, and were the only four people there. It was excellent, as was the massive thunderstorm that boomed around the mountains for an hour or so in the evening.
