Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

They're my newest pair so I've only had a chance to use them in a groomed fridge a few times which isn't ideal! A bit softer than the Chronics but stiffer than the Elizabeths, obviously very wide underfoot but still managed to hold a good edge on the hardpack. Going away in Feb so hopefully they'll get a good thrashing, I'm expecting big things Very Happy

AndAnotherThing.., Off to Switzerland tomorrow all being well so will report back once I've had them in some deeper snow. I'm not so sure at the moment... not sure if they suit my 'skiing'. Still wish I hadn't sold the LPs but at least the bindings on the Directors are shiny

I finally got around to mine, for insurance purposes wink

Lady's - For Mrs AAT
Karma's - My ski of choice for the last few years, a superb all rounder.
1080's - 'rock skis' for local hills and hoped for touring when the next little ice age arrives! snowHead
Rossi 8GS - Bought as a sensible training ski & very impressive in all conditions. Actually a 1 quiver ski, but I don't 'love' them enough for that.
Directors - Yet to ski them (& feeling slightly intimidated) Shocked
3V's - Bought as a GS race training ski. My thinking was they would work as a cheat and I'd still be able to use them on 'Piste' days.
Santa Cruz Ltd - Stiff and long wink "A Skiers board" according to someone who knows better than me.
And missing is my Burton teaching board which lives at the local dry slope.

I've a feeling that an ebay sale should be in the offing.

AndAnotherThing.., I wouldn't worry, they ski so short and are really easy to turn.

Mosha Marc, do it. I went through a period of wanting a full GS ski and these properly scared me off Laughing

theskibob Puzzled

Funny ? Well, I guess it depends exactly what you are training for and the associated considerations. There were no specific equipment rules for the calibrated GS time I needed to achieve, hence the 'cheat' comment in my post. The SLs worked out OK and I ended up with a piste ski I could use after I had completed that particular qualification - so job done as far as I'm concerned.

/thread drift/
It will be interesting to see if anyone turns up to a ET with SL skis now the equipment regs *appear* to have gone. My thought at the time was that SL ski's may offer candidates from a non race background some advantage.
