Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Flaine - Ski school/instructor suggestions

I'm currently teaching a 5 year old at the local dryslope. His family are going to Flaine and would prefer native english speaking instructors. Can anyone make any suggestions please?

Flaine has a lot of British clients every year and therefore the resort is geared for that. Most of the ski schools there will have good English speakers in their ranks. The ESF are the largest and amongst all the instructors they would no doubt be able to find what you are looking for. With private lessons it's a lot easier to achieve that although for a 5 year old I personally generally recommend group lessons. It's more fun for them to be with other kids and they learn better as a result.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

For a 5 year old, IMO the best option is CATHERINE POUPPEVILLE (http://www.skicat74.com).
Catherine specializes in teaching youngsters, is BASI as well as French qualified, speaks fluent English, only does private lessons and gets great results (her own boys ski at French national level)
That does mean she is very popular within Flaine and therefore has limited availability but it's worth a go

Thanks for the replies. I am Level 4 ISTD and work for New Gen in Meribel in winter so can discuss general options regarding groups/privates with them. If they hadn't already booked the holiday then they'd be coming to Meribel and having lessons with us. As they are going to Flaine and New Gen doesn't cover that resort I can now pass on suggestions from here and others that I got elsewhere.
