Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

?'s for the BASI AGM

I'm not able to get to the BASI AGM but have a few questions that I would like an answer to, anyone else have any issues they would like discussed?

1. I understand that a proposal has been sent to Brussels early this year in support of an effort to achieve mutual recognition of professional instructor qualifications between member states within the European Union and that a Green paper has subsequently been drafted. Can the membership be informed of the contents of our submission?

2. If the answer to 1. is no due to the contents being bound confidentiality agreements then may we please have a simple summary of what the associations intent, position and key negotiating points are?

3. Is the ISIA pyramid structure going to be implemented within the EU? or is this EU card only relavent to ISTD holders, if so what will be the ramifications on the right to work for L2 and L3 members outside the UK?

3. Will L2 and L3 members have the ability to work outside the UK while training to become ski instructors

4. During the EU negotiations does every EU country have an equal vote or are the votes weighted by association size as per the ISIA?

5. Is BASI negotiating on its own behalf or part of FEMP's?

skimottaret, All good questions, and the right to work is a key question.

Recent evidence suggests that protectionism is on the rise and the ability to work on snow in Europe without L4 is becoming, and likely to become more difficult. I'd like to know how BASI intends to support members with L2 and L3 qualifications in this regard.
