Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

shockingmoment, FlyingStantoni, Thanks for the suggestion, but "nous sommes complete" that weekend.
Can fit you in during the period 18th/19th to 24th Jan.

Otherwise, try
http://www.morzinemike.com/ at The Panorama.

I will ask for any other options on a post to everyone in Morzine tonight. But mostly s/c or catered here now.

shockingmoment, got an offer from Chalet D'amo. Girl called Linda.

I have three twin ensuite rooms available in chalet D'amo on a B&B basis for those dates at 50 euros per person per night.
I believe they are between Morzine & Essert Romand. Need to do some research maybe.

easiski@gmail.com is her address.

Try www.hotel-legrandtetras.com
I stayed there last January with a group
of 12 lads for a long weekend.
Good location and excellent value.
The owners are also very helpful.

I've been to le Grand Tetras, a couple of years ago. Massive pluses are the food was fabulous and the bedroom was massive. I was sharing with another bloke - we got 5 nights of separate bedrooms with a shared bathroom, a bonus I wasn't expecting! It wasn't too far to the bus stop or the Supermorzine Gondola. But 10mins + walk to Pleney so If you want to ski Morzine/Les Gets get the bus. The Cable car at Nyon was quieter and takes you to a nice bowl with plenty of skiing faster than getting the Gondola at Pleney so either bus is fine. There is a steep icy path to negotiate to get to the street though! This was the view on the 1st morning:

shockingmoment, couple more choices just in.

1/ We can offer 3 nights B&B for 195 Euros per person. 3 en-suite twin rooms. Local transport (to/from Ardent or Morzine) included.
This is with a company down in St Jean D'aulps, La Mousiere square.

2/ We have Chalet Snion available then, but it is booked out from the 29th, so they'd need to be out in the morning. There is a garage to store kit during the day and change in before leaving, but no showers.
It's 5 rooms and €1400 self catered, we can add on breakfast for €7.50 per person per day. We get someone to come in and serve it.
This one is not far from Morzine center, up the Les Gets Rd.

Let me know if interested in either. Or if you get booked in with someone else.

Settled on Le Grand Tetras. half board - cost wise it worked out cheapest. Location is pretty good - still a bit of a hike to the slopes but there's the compromise you make for cost. it gets some good write-ups on T/A, particularly the food. 3 day car from GVA is £180 plus fuel / tolls.

Morzinemike's place also looks pretty good - and has the benefit of inclsuive transfers to/from GVA.

Apartmentmorzine also looked good - but at this stage they couldn't guarantee access to a shower on the last day. We couldn't risk not being allowed on the flight home due to our bad odour..... this is a 2 bed apt, double, twin and a sofa couch. good value for four blokes, provided you're ok with a sofa bed.

We turned down an excellent offer from Hotel Bergerie - I messed up on the dates - and then they had no availability for our real dates... Drat. Worth a try. 67e B and B, central, outdoor heated pool....

Catered chalet prices seem to be incredibly high - typically £440 pp for 3 nights, 1/2 board. Out of town. I suppose by taking a long weekend booking they are blocking potential week long lets.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks SM. Last yr we stayed in Hotel L'equipe at the bottom of the pleney lift which was excellent to be fair if a lil toppy at €110 a night. Will look into the other suggestions you make. Thanks for your help. Sure you will have a cracking time.
