Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hello Everyone....oh, and i'm in recovery from Op.

I thought i'd use this (my first post) to say hello to everyone on Snowheads.

At the moment i'm in recovery from a knee operation that i had on Wednesday, it seems to have gone well but i will know more when i see the specialist / surgeon in a couple of weeks time. I'm hoping to make a quick recovery and get into some pre season training as i have a couple of trips booked this year.

The first is to Val d'Isere for our friends birthday, my wife and i will be enjoying the snow train from St. Pancras for a four / five day trip. We will then be enjoying what Val has to offer, i last went there 18 years ago!! The second is a family occasion to Ellmau in Austria, we will be going there with a group of eight. I'm looking forward to seeing the progression of my eight year old girl this year, we didn't go last year so she missed out on a weeks skiing.

I had a cartilage trim / removed / cleanout on the 12th July and was back biking/squashing/pump/combat 100% after about 12 weeks. At first I was still getting a little stiffness after my exercise but now all seems well now so Im confident that I will be able to fully enjoy my week to ADH from the 4th Feb wink
