Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Back to the original thread. "The Ski Club" is just a poor attempt at branding and like many such attempts they have no understanding of the concept.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Blimey - I missed this thread whilst I was in Banff. And there was me still innocently refering to SCGB...I'm surprised I'm still allowed to log in

Well said john!
We at snowHeads, on the other hand, understand branding perfectly and have undertaken a program to ensure that all members will have "I'm a snowHead" burnt into their foreheads before the start of next season.
A choice of fonts will be offered Toofy Grin

admin, good one. Make sure the fonts include something Gothic for the boarders. Arial would suit the big air ballerinas

Alan Craggs, that assumes that you believe in child branding, and not in adult branding Wink

admin, here is a picture of some typical skiers: branding "I'm a snowHead" on their foreheads would not spread the word much coz their foreheads are covered. As has been requested many times: we want a Hat or a Helmet Sticker.
(We aleady have the T-shirt, as will be seen if only Ian H would get on with getting his pickies on the website.)

maybe the SCGB (sorry, i just can't help it) should rebrand itself again by acknowldeging the diversity of the sport and going back to recognising its geographical roots (just how many non-Brit members does it have, i wonder?).

In fact, it could follow French Connection's example:

Snowsports Club UK would make a nice, appropriate, but similarly mistyped, acronym Very Happy

Tony Lane, is that Snowsports Club UNited Kingdom: SCUNK?

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Jonpim, that could work as well (although it might be more appropriate for stereotyped boarders sitting in the middle of the piste over the brow of the hill in a haze of fragrant smoke!)

I was thinking more in line of the FCUK logo. Perhaps they could have t-shirts saying "I am a SCUKer"

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Tony Lane, maybe I am just a bit slow, but the transition from SCUK to SUCK took a lot longer that for FCUK.
It may not quite have the impact you hoped.
But maybe it works for others....?

 You know it makes sense.

I can just see the title they'll slap on the news coverage of the rebrand - "From FCUK to SCUK - Greater Penetration for the Ski Club."
