Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Utah Demo Ski Hire

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'll be skiing in Utah next Feb for the first time and will be looking to try some different demo skis while there.

Any suggestions on the best place to hire demo skis? I'll be based in Morgan - I believe the closest larger town is Ogden. I was looking at Canyon Sports (I've seen their name around this forum a fair bit) or hire on the mountain?

I anticipate most of our time will be spent at Snowbasin Resort and possibly Powder Mountain and am assuming I'll have the option to hire up there?

I would have said Wasatch Powder Skis but you might be a bit out of their catchment area so would clock delivery charges. Canyon seem a pretty slick operation but otherwise any other ski shop in Ogden or the resort shop at Snowbasin (no independent shops up there AFAIK).

Andy H, You could try Diamond Peak in Eden, on the way to Powder or a detour for you if heading to Snowbasin, they demo and hire skis. They also do very good deals on new skis wink Well they did last season Madeye-Smiley Have just seen your post relating to boots - Do not even think of buying boots here, I watched a couple of their 'boot fitters' in action and it was really comical wink

There will be a few places in Ogden but no idea who . I did think of Wasatch Powder Skis but agree with fatbob, they also seem to be limiting their range this year too Confused

You could of course try asking on TGR as theres plenty of guys on there from the area, but be ready to get a roasting Toofy Grin
