Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Not a huge fan of it aesthetically, but its realatively snowsure, has some great sking on and off piste, plus feeds into the Milkyway, though that can be a bit of a trek on Skis, plus you have Serre Che not far by car\bus and in generall the slopes are not that busy most of the time. Poor lift infrastructure and connection into Milkyway is a down - though theres a shuttle bus to and from Claviere anyway.

Plus the Bombardinos at the lodge at the bottom of the claivere slopes rock.

if you do ever go for a night out in Claviere - make sure you go to the Karaoke bar - they do flavoured alcoholic sugar cubes! Rocket fuel and sugar rush at the same time Skullie

Oh memories! I did my first season there 12 years ago (wow, that's scary!)

You'll have a great time. Its a big hotel so lots of other staff to socialise with. Plenty of other seasonaires in the resort too. The bar in the Rois Mages is decent and right at the bottom of the slopes. Not sure what position you'll hold, generally its hard work, but you'll ski hard and drink hard when you're not working.

The resort is great. Depends on your level but there's really nice intermediate stuff and long runs into Italy. If you're more adventurous, the off piste is superb and the snow stays untracked far longer than in larger resorts. It has a very good snow record too.

Enjoy!

Shorter18, lucky bod - we spent a week in Montgenevre last winter and really enjoyed it. There are some people who post on here who know it much better than me though so hopefully they will be along to impart their wisdom.
