Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Private transfer Grenoble to Valloire

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi, hope someone can help...

Have booked flights and accommodation for March 2012, but have been quoted around £150 each for a return transfer (4 people) from Peak Retreats.

Are we likely to find anyone who can do it for under £600 for 4 people? Or do any of you knowledgeable people know of anyone who wants to help us out and make some money??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We land at Grenoble at 8:50am on 10th March and fly back about 9am a week later on the 17th March

Ta!

Hopefully you were also told that the cheapest by far is to hire a car at the airport (even if you end-up parking it for the whole week in resort). If you allow about £250-£300 for the week that should easily cover it. Otherwise you could also check people like Holiday Taxis - they are easyjet's transfer partner (put Valmeinier as same as Valloire) to compare prices.

Thanks for the replies!

I'll have to email coolbus to get a quote as they don't seem to list our destination on their site.

Holiday taxis come in at £736...

I know car hire will be cheaper, but for the convenience factor I just want to get some quotes for a private transfer Smile

Well I've found the site I was looking for: http://www.taxi-finder.com/ and am awaiting the responses with the hopefully cheap quotes Very Happy

Just a note for those also looking for transfers from Grenoble Airport, on the official website (thanks to Colin B for the link) is a company listed as 'TAXI Hervé Bringer'. I emailed both the addresses but they're both wrong, the only one that seemed to go through ok was to herve.bringer@laposte.net Just a typo but was winding me up as a was trying to copy and paste everything from a slow google translate etc rolling eyes

Anyways, will post quotes as/when I receive them,

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Thanks Colin, have gone through the process of booking a shuttle using that link but it says "none available", so maybe they havent released next years timetable?

The quotes I got back were more than I hoped they would be, think bout £600 is the norm Sad

So I might have to revisit the idea of car hire!
