1. Look at Natives
2. Make sure your Dad is not involved in the jobhunting process. Embarrassing.

Relative of mine recently got job with Ski Esprit for next season. All recruitment for them, Ski Total and Inghams done centrally. Can't remember name of Company but quick google search will throw it up.Lizzard, Sorry, don't totally agree - if Dad isn't giving them kick up backside they probably wouldn't apply until December 1st!

provenjohn, she'd best get a move on with it. Most companies are well into their recruitment process, they typically start not too long after the season ends and usually start interviewing in June or July. For instance, I'm working the upcoming season and applied back in early June, with my interviews held in late June/early July.
As has been suggested above, www.natives.co.uk is the place to start. It has job opportunities from pretty much all of the main recruiters, and also a whole host of smaller and independent companies. There's also a wealth of information on the types of different roles on offer etc. There is a natives job fair at some point, though I don't know if that's been held yet or not.
Hopefully, if she's quick about it, she might just tag on the back end of the recruitment process. If not, all is not lost, she may get lucky with a later placement or, at worst (if successful), she may be able to secure a standby position, so if anyone drops out between now and the season start (or indeed during the season) they'll call her up.

They won't be doing a season then. Seriously, if they don't have the gumption to find a job themselves, they aren't going to do very well once out there.
PS. Go to natives.

My no.1 daugher has a job with Espirit for the coming season, I have only been involved in getting her to the London jobs fair on time, the rest has been up to her. She is currently perfecting her chocolate brownies which I must say are very good!

Hi provenjohn,
Looking at it from the other side as it were, and I've done lots of ski season recruitment, parents getting involved is often counter-productive.
Most large low to mid range tour operators are looking for enthusiastic but competant ameteurs. They search for someone with some prior experience of their chosen job who will work hard, learn the things that they don't know and crucially has the ability to work independantly in the alpes for 5 months. The last one will be particularly relevant if your daughter is young or hasn't lived away from home before.
In general when parents write cvs (and we can tell!), drive them to interviews, turn up at interviews!!, try to answer questions at interviews !!!!!!, call the office to see what's happening, ring up to ask questions about the package, interview day, collection times, bond, make complaints etc etc it is seen as a sign that the potential employee (which is what your daughter will be) can't do these things for herself. Not saying that you'd do any of the above but I've had them all
Your best bet is to point her in the direction of www.natives.co.uk and leave her to do the rest . . . .

provenjohn,
Depends on what she is looking for. If she has already been offered jobs then she is doing OK.
This will be going onto our website at the end of this month and onto Natives.

To whoever needs to take note................only a suggestion (currently putting my tin-hat, and body armour on)
It never ceases to amaze me that seasonaires are allowed to be treated like this........... IMO its all well and good supplying lift pass/ basic accomodation etc etc but how are these guys supposed to live, what do they pay for lunch and socialise with?
IMO a peppercorn salary of £80-100 a week, or even better some form of incentivised PRP based on financial KPI's/ customer feedback (bearing in mind the prices that punters pay there must be some spare money in there somewhere), and then people working there would be more motivated and provide a better experience for holiday makers rather than being bitter and twisted and feeling sorry for themselves, and guiding their parties to naff restaurants where they can get a free pizza in exchange. The 2 stage economies that exist is ski resorts is often apparent (bars etc), and its not healthy IMO to expect people to work for benefits in kind rather than being paid properly.
Even though the above exists theres a steady queue of people ready to take this on, so it'll continue, but IMO the French (et al) authorities should clamp down, and make the Tour operator businesses run their businesses properly.

Wayne, For clarity, the above is not levied at your business, my comment was a general one in respect of no pay seasonaires packages.......I can see you are offering a fair package, and I can see why you say they are on holiday so they have to come with some financial backing, but there are many that arent a fair package, and very low/ no pay and poor conditions does go on.

Can she speak any languages?
If so, if she's reasonably confident, getting a 'local' job in a resort is always an option with plenty of perks, actual wages, better defined hours etc.
As a barman I worked 2pm - 1am 3 days, 5pm - 1am 2 days and had 2 full days off. It allowed a lot of skiing and I got paid a decent wage (came home 2 graand in pocket after the first season).

Wayne, your competition would maintain that they can't make a profit if they pay staff legal wages. Maybe you should explain to them how it's done.

Could do what I did, which is a bit different.. I'm not..afraid of hard work, but I didn't really fancy the whole wake up early, work late chalet thing, so I worked summer and autumn, booked a room, and then just did a bit of weekend work. Made about £70 cleaning a week, much more available for transfers too if she can drive. Though would probably need to be older.
In the end, I was broke, but I spent way more time on the hill than the rest of my mates.
