Poster: A snowHead

Hi,
I'm a solo skier, male, 30, skiing at blue/some red run level. I've just booked the last twin room at the hotel "Logis Hotel Les Bruyeres" in central Morzine and I was wondering if anyone wanted to share.
The total room cost is 1272 EUR, so there would be half to pay. The booking is from Monday 02/01/2012 until 15/01/2012. I'll be travelling out from England although I haven't booked anything else yet so we could discuss any travel options which might reduce our costs further.
If you're interested, just let me know.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,
Did you anything more happen on this. I'd be interested as we sound about similar skiing abilities.

HannahDenyer,
Hi Hannah,
Thanks for your message. Not sure if my private message was sent as the page just kept crashing so I thought I'd put my reply here as well. You are the first person to respond, glad you're interested, even better that we would be of a similar skiing ability.
Haven't done this before so I'm not quite sure where to go from here
Feel free to send me a private message if you are interested and we could swap contact details.
I live in Yorkshire but I work in central London so I'm sure we could arrange the same flight and share transfers if that means we pay less and one of us isn't having to wait around at the airport. The best detail I've found on the transfers so far is £60 return per person from Geneva to Morzine. I've also been looking at some private ski lessons for a few hours a day every now and then and it's the same price for 1 or 2 people so if that would interest you, just let me know.
If you have any ideas, suggestions, questions feel free to throw them in.
Cheers,
Chris

Anyone still interested? I've had two friends agree to come and then cancel so there is still a spot open.

Hi there
I've just moved to Morzine a month ago (the kids and I are learning French) and I'm getting to know the ropes, discounts etc.
If you need any help researching or checking things out then let me know. I'd be glad to help and it would get me out of the apartment here where I tend to be glued to the net

helenmhudson, thanks very much for your kind offer, it's greatly appreciated. I spent 10 days in Morzine 3 years ago so I can just about remember where all the important things are - ski lifts, pubs, restaurants
I've decided to book 10 x 2hr private lessons while I'm out there as the main purpose of the trip is to improve my technique. Any suggestions on who to consider? Last time I used ESF, and although the experience wasn't the best, the prices for afternoon private lessons vs what the English companies are quoting, is certainly making me consider them again.

Don't use ESF. Full stop. Buy cheap buy twice?
My brother used Sally (i think?) at "the Ski School" and was very impressed.

Chris, better to buy half the lessons but be able to utilise them fully. Following this keenly as I'm off the 7th to the 15th and may well join you if you have no friends!

Hi. My daughter (22) is moving out to Morzine at the beginning of December with her boyfriend who has a job and she needs a job. She is interesting in bar or chalet work or retail but has lots of ski experience (ski patrol, BASI instructor, rep). They've been working in New Zealand and just back from a season there (so missed application cycle).
She has experience of bar work, cleaning and retail and will consider just about anything.
Thanks
