We fancy going to Italy and taking a crowd of friends to fill a chalet (with a hot tub ideally), and booking independently. But, perhaps it isn't possible as I've only found one such possibility.
Anybody able to make suggestions? (Oh yes, and we need somewhere that there are *decent* lessons available.)
Thanks.

James the Last, without knowing how many people, if you want catered/self-catered or any preferred areas, there are a couple of options on both Chalet Finder and Chalets Direct, as well as Owners Direct. Worth a look and adding the above info to the search, should offer you some options

Thanks. Somewhere between 15 and 25 people I guess; catered. And somewhere with plenty of miles of piste and something for beginners.

James the Last, the Mountain Sun hotel in San Cassiano might fit the bill. It's large enough for your group, the ski school is right next door and I think their meeting point for beginners is at the top of the gondola which is 50m from the hotel. The region has more miles of piste than you can ski in a week.

I don't want to do any washing up!!! I said "catered"! Self-catered for 25 would be a full time job for two catering, and I want a holiday...
And we're looking at the middle of January too.

In Jan the best I can do would be £610 per person in 3* (inc. flights, transfers, equipment, lift pass, hotel next to piste, etc - full ATOL)
As I said we don't chalets.
Good luck with your search - have you looked at Thomas Cook or Neilson?

With 25 of you you could all chip in and offer to take a couple of snow heads with you to help with the catering in return for a free holiday.
You know - people having fun helping others less well off to have fun for mutual benefit?
I reckon any way your costs would be self financing when you consider the cost difference for going catered.
Great kind of post for a forum like this.

People volunteer to undertake dangerous military missions or to give blood; doesn't mean to say they expect it to be fun.

I'm looking for an apartment that sleeps 25 and has a broom cupboard. I can think of a very nice one in the Swiss Alps... but I'd prefer Italy.
Has to be said, finding a place to book out in Italy for exclusive use isn't very easy, is it?

I would offer you my place James, we can just sleep 25 but I think my volunteers would think that outside their remit.
