Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

This was hopefully just a one-off but what will it do to the psyche of the "Joe Average" skier/boarder? (I'm already regretting referring to any Snowhead as Joe Average Embarassed )

p.s. you'll notice in the news item above it that the galleries in Plagne Centre are being upgraded so please no comments about what an ugly dump it is rolling eyes

MoodyFFS, they most certainly would. The season before we were all heartily sick of it snowing every week; especially every Saturday for transfers.

gravystuffing, JOE average, JOSEPHINE please. Laughing Laughing TBH, we didn't have as bad a season in Serre Chevalier as those further north, and on occasions had fresh snow when others had rain, or drought.
Here's hoping for a better winter away from the dispensing bench. (one day I will drag the hubby kicking and screaming to the Alps for the whole winter).

My French isn't perfect (or even close), but I think the comparison was between this year and the average since 1987/88...they could have chosen that year because they don't have good data before then (or a number of other biased or unbiased reasons)

It is worrying to see the graph showing temperatures are getting higher each decade. Hope this doesn't continue.
