Poster: A snowHead

Does anyone know of a European resort at 1700 mtrs altitude with Cross Country ski trails at or above this altitude during August?
We have a team of Nordic skiers who need to do some altitude training on snow?

Geordie, welcome to sH.
I don't know the answer to your question, but hopefully someone else might.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Geordie, Tignes has a cross country trail on the glacier, I guess you could stay down in Les Boisses to be sleeping near 1700m.

Geordie, Dachstein Glacier is used by the Austrians. The Kitzsteinhorn glacier also has a loop marked out but I think it will be closed for skiing in August. They also use roller skis for training on the forest roads and trails around Ramsau am Dachstein.

Geordie: Just curious, but what's the significance (if any) of staying at 1700m for altitude training purposes?
