surfski, blimey! We certainly didn't get that down here. There was dusting at 1000ft upwards, but I don't imagine that even Pen y Fan has any real depth.

British Summer Time here in S Wales, not that you'd know it this morning.
The temperature plummeted overnight and a biting wind and fequent downpours accompanied me on my morning walk earlier.
The Met Office is calling for wintry showers in the Brecon Beacons today and below freezing temperatures overnight

A bright day, with plenty of sunshine and a few showers. Showers may turn to sleet or snow above around 600 metres in the morning, becoming confined to the summits later in the day. Showers will ease through the afternoon, and becoming largely dry by evening. It will feel cool in fresh northwesterly winds.
Visibility
Generally excellent, although good in any showers and moderate or poor in any sleet or snow.
Hill fog
Occasional patches around the summits, mainly in the morning associated with showers.
Maximum winds above 400m
Northwesterly 40 mph.
Temperature
Valleys Plus 4 Celsius rising to plus 13 Celsius.
800 m Plus 1 Celsius rising to plus 4 Celsius.
Freezing level 700 metres rising to 1000 metres.
