Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Squaw was open until May 30th and will open on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of JULY! Frankly, we are all a little fed up with it. It is time for summer and days spent on the lake! Toofy Grin

Expedition Kirkwood is offering cat skiing through June, and both Kirkwood and Squaw are re-opening for the 4th of July weekend. It must be a bit galling for the ski areas to have to close for lack of skiers not snow, and think what could be if they could still get decent numbers for profitable regular opening!

On the other hand just reading on TGR that the queues on KT22 were amongst the worst of the season on Memorial Day weekend!! Shock

Certainly no queues on KT22 the day I was at Squaw this season! rolling eyes

AIUI they don't plan on having the staff for operations rather than an absolute lack of demand. Most of the people still demanding it are season pass holders and while they'd probably pay a discounted daily rate for season extension would be likely to baulk at the $80+ full day rate the resorts might like to charge to make it viable. Plus I'd understood Kweed had some limitation due to Forest Service lease. I've seen some amusing whining that there hasn't been a decent corn season due to continued winter storms into June.
