Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Went there first two years they were open. Really enjoyed the place. We drove each time, the first year we were in Banff and just took off for a few days driving to Kicking Horse ( 1.5 hrs from Banff ) skied and there then drove to Revelstoke ( 2 hrs approx, but they are another hour behind, so only 1 hr ) We just did the reurn the same, having a night at Kicking Horse again.

Second year we planned a road trip around BC/ Alberta, making Kicking Horse the first stop and then headed to Revvy. We then moved on after three days there.

The resort doesnt have a lot of development, which is why it appealed Madeye-Smiley Plenty of trees, powder, cliff areas, powder, no lift lines, powder, limited pisted runs, powder, did I mention they had loads of deep powder ?

We didnt book any accommodation before we arrived either time, first year was easy as noone had heard of the place and the bargains were great. $99 got you bed breakfast and lift ticket, at $2 to £1 it was well worth it. Second year places were reasonably full and took us around half an hour to find somewhere to stay. The town wasnt a party town and resort doesnt cover it, night life is low key, a few bars, restaurants and strip joint with one stripper apparently. Its a normal Canadian town with a ski mountain just down the road. In years to come no doubt it will develop but it hadnt when we were there last.

There is lodgings at the mountain base, but there were few facillities( again they could have built more by now ) so you either stay at the mountain or in town. Either way you will need a vehicle but as you will have probably driven to Revelstoke anyway not really a problem.

Avoid public holidays if you can, as the town can be fully booked, and in 2009 people were staying in the next town ( over an hour away ) to ski.

Search - a few threads on it. Self travel is fairly easy - drive from Calgary or Kelowna or Vancouver if you fancy a longer drive. You could take Greyhound too but you'd then have to bus up the hill. No idea about TOs.
