Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Best place to buy gates/stubbies cheap

Just wondering if anybody knows where you can pick up racing gates at a decent price. I have heard of people getting them after world cup events. If anyone has a suggestion just let me know, or some to offer.

Thanks!

There's a few american based websites that sell, just shipping costs to take into account! Try and get brush bases - was less time consuming than screw gates!!!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Depends what you mean by a decent price.

You'll find gates are around €30-€35 each wherever you get them in Europe. Ordering from the States is cheaper until you pay the import tax.
Sometimes teams/clubs sell off old gates but these are few and far between as gates tend to break before they would be sold.

And I agree with heidiky, brushgrip bases are much easier

R555MAC, Some nearer places to Chatel that sell them are:

Vola in Passy for SPM.

Secomate near Albertville for Liski.

MBS-ADIC between Albertville and Chambery, the manufacturer of Dalloz gates.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I went to Vola.

But these guys http://www.reliableracing.com/category2.cfm?category=760&header=BREAK-A-WAY/GATES/ACCESSORIES were at the ESF challenge and they have a place in Annecy.

Seem to have decent prices.

Thanks for that, I'll be checking them out, plenty to go through there, maybe a visit to the shop in Annecy would be worthwhile!
