Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I will be in Hintertux for all of May, and want to get the best deal on lift off insurance. Can anyone tell me if I can just purchase with my lift ticket or if there is a better source for it.

Probably referring to the French carre/carte neige. I'm not sure it exists in Austria - I just forget such things and just take out winter sports travel insurance.

You can get it, probably going to need other insurance too for travel/lost stolen things etc.

Richard Fetherston, get some decent wintersports travel insurance before you go. Why would you faff about with insurance in a foreign language?

ask pete for details the austrian ooh cant think of the name but they do an excellent insurance with lift off facilitie when your anywhere in the world will try to find out for you if you dont see him. its cheap too. covers for just about anything.

thinking about it i think its called the austrian ski association but will let you know tomo for sure.

try the ,austrian alpine club, and look for the uk section, its fantastic value for money. reccommended by several friends.
