I have taken the plunge!...
Next week I will be staying in Hinterglemm for 10 days (and getting bussed to Leogang as S/H is shut... might have to take some touring gear though  ) for the Austrian L1 Ski instructor course (Anwaerter)....
Have found an excellent German teacher / course that is advertised alongside the ski courses - and it might be working!!
Wish me luck (as those of you that have seen me ski know I need it!)

I've been having some private lessons with designed specifically for the course. Have been learning a lot of vocab and some phrases (by memory mainly).... but it should all help!

Thanks for all the encouragement you lot 
If I pass then I'll be working for Radstadt ski school but with extreme flexibility. So the idea is that I can offer punters (I like the P word) private or group lessons anywhere they want to ski.
This should really help the larger groups we have as it is a pain splitting the group between mountains due to ski-school commitments... fingers crossed!

Enjoy yourself, flangesax. Leogang was fine, if restricted, when I was there on Monday and will certainly be better after the new snow (snowed lightly most of the day here).
As you say, the link over to Saalbach is closed but, if it keeps on snowing till the weekend, maybe a group could ski back to Saalbach or Viehhofen - viel Erfolg!
