Current one (5 years old) has a split in the bottom of the box, and is on it's second set of support struts. I think OH has also said it is wonky too. It was a cheapish generic box from Ebay so I'm not going to try and get spares again.
I've been looking around, and Roofbox company seem to be recommending KAMEI boxes . Any good?

I've a Kamei one. Seems good.
I understand that on the continent they're thought of more highly than Thule.

Mosha Marc, THule seem to have become rather expensive, and I was wondering if the more reasonable cost was why. As long as they are of reasonable quality. They have a 6 year guarantee too, so may be a good option.

I bought a Halfords one a couple of years ago, seems fine for what we have chucked at it. Probably a bit big, but for the sale price I couldn't resist.
You could probably transport the whole ski stock from a large hire shop and still have room for luggage

I have had a Kamei for many years and found it to be great, seems better made that the Thule or other brands or was back then at least
i was told when i bought mine that a BMW/AUDI or VW supplied box was in fact a Kamei under the covers

Bah! Think yourself lucky that you don't need to transport 180 length skis. Mine don't even fit into our big Thule box, even diagonally

TallTone, we do carry 180 length skis (or almost) JB's Missions are 178 and we've brought home the Whitedots from the last bash . Some of these boxes are over 2m long. Im

Think we'll be going for a Kamei box, just a matter of which one suits us best.
