Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Quick question for anyone who's around

It snowed about 2-3cm here last night (Arc 1800), which means the run from the apartment to the posted is white again not brown. Can I ski on this? Very Happy

Not sure. I think we need a video to judge your skiing ability before we decide. wink

LOL ... well, we tried. My girlfriend who's a lot lighter than me managed it, but I hit the mud on a few occasions! They're hire skis though so all is well Smile

I trashed a pair of skis in Les Arcs skiing some southern aspects that had been dirt/rocks before being covered with about 60 cm of a really nice early March storm (in '0Cool...sunk all the way through the 60 cm and put some nice designs in the bases...2-3 cm is only enough to make the rocks harder to see, not protect your skis from them.

There were more stones on the slopes than on the run, and I certainly wouldn't have done it if I genuinely thought I would damage the skis, whoever owned them!

You genuinely could not foresee sinking trhough 3cms of unconsolidated/non-packed snow? Bet the hire shop are gonna be all smiles when you give the skis back rolling eyes
