Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Had a week in the La plagne last week and the board was mint! Snow was good, we got some pow at the start of the week and then sun sun sun.
But the lacquer on the top of the board in between the bindings is peeling off! any one seen this?

Argh. I was think of buying one of these but was slightly put off when I heard they were made by Nidecker.

I so nearly bought a Megalight, two years ago, but was put off because the top deck of my demo board had a milky white sheen from poor lacquering of the top of the board. Shame as it is a legend of a board and looks the t1ts when new.

If I was you, I would take it to a paint shop and spend the money to get it done properly. I suspect the main problem is some tree hugger friendly, useless bio lacquer used by Nidecker.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If you have a choice, next seasons mountain twin board will have some carbon and extra bumps on the edge and more colour. Also few more sizes.
Saw a good report on it if that counts, sounds like its firmed up a bit and rails.
The bigger flagships have quite wide stances and that might be adjusted next season too.

Normally around sept/oct and shown at the london ski show but if you hunt around online you can see the colours and get a bit of info now.
They look good like new boards do.
They were late last year though and some Nidecker/jones/yes boards could be made in Tunisia which happened to have a jump up sometime around delivery time so that may be why they were late?.

Richards link,The Whitelines gearguide has a new volkl split, possibly like Aline bocks solid brd, her tour ride the cashew.
K2 owns volkl now as far as I know.
The Sir Floatalot from atomic, cool name says it all for a pow twin on that site.

Biglines .com also has some very good freeride gear vids.Go to- winter 2011/2012 products
You can view all the 2012 jones boards and new splits with karakorum hooks.
Also-
spark binders, tail hooks and snowshoe thingy.
sparks AT boot binders and heel riser bracket for splits.
karakorum binders,tour brackets and hooks.

k2 complete split package and backcountry kit?
rome split
gnu split and t.rice
atomic split.
venture split from johan O- the Odin

No burton split but its out in two sizes.
Mountain Approach new folding ski gear is very interesting as is k2,s BC push.

All on Biglines.com sorry I can,t link it or afford it for that matter so just drooling and passing on the slobber.

Jones vid mentions Roughnecks mountain twin in a positive light, now 5 bumps instead of 3 and carbon, base looks good too.
Also the hovercraft now in 160cm,very certain this will be a great pow/piste carving pick and even a one board quiver for some directional riders.
I think he might expand the powder board line in the future, probably with a different tail on another new model or variation of now.

Biglines freeride gear overview is a indication of further increase in tracked terrain in the future, freeride gets a very big boost next season in the snowboard market.
Meaning less popular destinations in europe will get a further freeride influx and in low season probably.
It seemed so many more already off piste,no wonder russia is opening up with a 10 year resort plan.
