Seriously considering this one as haven't had a snow fix for a couple of years. Hoping to join you in Tignes.

OK - the return transfer is scheduled to be in Grenoble by 10AM so you're safe to book flights out after that.
We have some power of discretion over it though so if there's a flight going out at 9:55 that lots of people need/want to get, we'll just all have to leave a little earlier

I just had a quick look and times for EasyJet (they have a sale on until midnight Tuesday) were
27th Gatwick Grenoble dep07:05-arr09:40
3rd Grenoble Gatwick dep14:55-arr15:25
27th Luton Grenoble dep07:25-arr10:05
3rd Grenoble Luton dep10:50-arr11:30
27th Stansted Grenoble dep07:15-arr09:55
3rd Grenoble Stansted dep10:35-arr11:15
Bristol doesn't work as the flight out doesn't get in till 14:40. Shame as it's my local airport.
Birmingham doesn't work as the flight out doesn't get in till 14:20.
So Gatwick fits in with the transfer times, but Luton and Stansted would need a very early exit from Tignes on the 3rd.
I'd be happy with Gatwick.
Has anyone found any alternatives?

admin, I can't find the "Can I come to the Sneaky Cheap week in Tignes please" button. It looks to me like your first post is being encoded and is rendering as text rather than HTML markup. I've tried firefox, chrome, and IE.
UPDATE - found it. It only shows as a button if you are not logged in. Once logged in it shows as text.

Birmingham to Grenoble is £37.28 return inc tax`s, £ 94.28 with ski`s and a case. Easyjet.
Sun 27 th 11.40 - 14.20 return Sun 3rd 10.15 - 11.00.
Bens Bus is £ 79.00 return ,. may be more for a Sunday, plus £5.00 each way.
The January trip was great fun as Graham had ordered the new snow ! will he be putting in an order for this week in Tignes ?

Is there any chance that you can organise a later transfer with your people as there will be no skiing on the Sunday , about 3.30 would be great.

Awent, I'm guessing that it won't be possible to change the transfer times for the bus. Looking at the return trip, it looks to me like it's the same bus. i.e. from Tignes to Grenoble - wait an hour - reload and return. Suspect there will be issues with driver's hours that need to be considered too.
If Ben's Bus works out better for you, it might be worth you doing that. You can just text your order through to us at the bar when you get close enough...

Ben's bus makes things easier for me and would let me fly from Bristol. I need to check things out at work, but I should be in a position to commit or abandon on Wednesday.

linds, I haven't been ignoring u, I just had to find some stuff out for u.
I'm sure we could find someone to go to bed with you at 9:30 but if u tell the world that you're a miserable old fart-pixie it might prove more difficult to find a volunteer.
You can have solo occupancy for £145.
I can get just a couple of euros off the lift pass at the moment but I'll make some enquiries to see if that can be bettered.

I heard that Chambery often closes due to bad weather. How true is this or is it like any other airport?
Also, any more info on the hotel?

Gainz, Chambery suffers from fog issues. I've heard that it has more fog than others... doesn't have the right kind of landing system.. the pilots are wimps ('you vill notice dat ze french pilots can land OK.. pfft')... take your pick of the excuses. I've used it several times and it's a very convenient airport. I've been delayed twice, once for a few hours and once overnight, other times it's been no problem at all. It's all down to luck at the end of the day. How do your lottery picks normally pan out?
