Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

After some nice lift served days we took out the skins today to get a bit further afield. We wanted to hike The Valluga ridge and decided on the "hidden valley" followed by the Erli-Joch an easy 1h 30m skin that leads to some nice slopes returning to Zurs. The light was flat in the morning but we crossed fingers and started up the boot pack

The cornice at the ridge line was a bit tricky but after some GNAR style pole whacking we hauled ourselves over it

Easy from the ridge to the top

Martin's antique poles

Descended the North Face and dropped down from the saddle under the Roggspitze

Still fabulous pow at the top

Got a bit heavier on the descent

Yours truly forgets Crusairs aren't Kuro's...

Down to the Erlach alp hut and started the hike up to the Erli Joch

Nice tracks down from the Valluga T bar

The clouds disappeared and it was hot!

And sweaty

I love the scenery here

Getting into Austrian fashion

Let's go skiing

Wives rock!

Bushwacked our way back to Zurs. Beers at the Tritt Alpe never tasted so good.

Had a few too many so this mornings plans for Rendl have gone somewhat off piste.....

Yep, you can see Valluga 1 on the right of the photo. It's a 20 min relatively steep bootpack onto the ridge and then drop down the West face or continue up over the bridge to the Valluga II top station and the North Face.

You can see the top section here

Ah, I recognise two Romanian friends in your group. I haven't skied with Horizon for many years, though I think our group started him on skinning.
