mugen, yes, it's been posted a couple of times at least (and on one occasion prompted a lengthy debate about what material avy shovels should be made of). Despite having seen it a few times it still makes me very anxious when watching it.

bad_roo, i couldnt see that for the first few viewings but i do now.
horrific viewing, felt like witnessing a death.
makes you wonder how many people have recorded their own deaths.

I don't think he had much choice, stopping would not have helped as the entire slab looked to have gone and he had nowhere safe to ski to if he tried to get to the side. When you see the slabs breaking in front of the camera is definitly several seconds after the initial fracture - this is what makes this type of slide so dangerous, it is triggered a few turns in, but it will break from above you.
