Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Question about Baqueira-Beret

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I am currently in Andorra La Vella, and after a few days here, I would like to move over to ski the areas around Baqueira.

The first question is how do I get from Andorra to the Aran valley? There does not seem to be any regular bus service, but it would seem that there should be some kind of a bus to get me out of Andorra into a town like La Seu d'Urgell, and then a bus from there to the Aran valley. I'm sure that there have been other folks who have wanted to hit these 2 main Pyrenee resort areas.

The next question is where to stay in the Aran valley economically. I am flying solo, and with my USD bank account, as I understand it, the prices in Baqueira are high. I had read that there are cheaper places to stay in Salardu, Arties, or even way out in Vielha, and there is a convenient bus from there to the resort in Baqueira.

I will be returning to Barcelona after that and would like the websites of any bus companies as I would like to see the schedule going back to Barcelona.

Also, I understand that there are some resorts nearby that perhaps have bus service that I could also visit while in the Aran valley. Is that possible.

Thanks Gracias Merci

swampwiz, Hi, Why dont go to Boi Taull nearby Bagueira?, Its better skiing, less with skier in the slopes, perfect offpist, and cheaper, The base station is on 2050mts and highest skiing is on 2750mts, its very snow sure

swampwiz, This site may give an idea of local buses. I think they tend to run towards Lleida and Barcalona, but it maybe that you can get access through the 'Aneu' valley from the Andorra side. There are buses to Barcalona.

In terms of accommodation I've used a B&B in Salardu which is good - www.hostalvaldaran.com - The bus service in the valley is good.

A friend runs a holiday company out there and he could sort B&B accommodation for you - www.skinspired.co.uk
