Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Is a mod/admin deleting posts/threads?

I posted on a thread yesterday about a group trip for solo skiers on 2nd April posted on by John (don't remember username, maybe John_2010?) and checking this morning both my post and the entire thread appear to have been deleted.

Was there some reason for this? Or maybe the user can delete their own posts?

quilleashm, mods and admins are delting posts and threads all the time, but this usually relaytes to spam and in 99% of cases they are actually moved to a hidden forum rather than deleted outright. There's no sign of such a thread in that forum - in fact, searching pages 1 and 2 of this forum for threads with "april" in the title suggests you mean this thread

After your post did you press the back button before the page had loaded? Sometimes this cancels what you have written.

Thanks for the replies.

@NBT, that is the right user but not the thread I remember. Pretty sure the last post was from John about snow conditions in resort or something. Thanks for digging this one up for me tho.

@ligtningdan, could've been. Tho I'm pretty sure in a thread I started looking for a group John replied but then looking later that post disappeared! Maybe I'm imagine things Confused

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

quilleashm, the thread was removed by a mod/admin, probably for one of two reasons. Possibly because it appears to be quite a commercial activity or possibly because it looks like there may have been a degree of deception going on.

quilleashm, Google's cache suggests that the first post may have been:

Hi everyone I thought I would let you know that there is a Group Ski Trip being organised in Morzine, France for anyone available in April.....good sunshine and a good opportunity to get the last of the snow!

My friend owns a company that specialises in JUST solo skiers or anyone who wants to join a bigger group. We are staying in a nice chalet in the middle of town (fairly basic, mostly twin rooms). But there is so much being organised, cheese and wine tasting, après ski parties, evening activities such as a mountain meal around a log fire in a tepee, great evening meals together in the chalet and out in town.

Anyone is welcome as long as you love snow...age doesn't matter on this trip...we all just want to have a great time. (no single supplements either!)

More than a whiff of pork product there, methinks.....
