Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all
Sitting on chairlifts with the board edge resting against my left boot has cut my laces in half. The boot is a Wed'ze, no model number/name. The lace is around 2mm wide so normal laces will never fit. Are these snowboard boot laces a standard width? I've seen burton sell laces, but no width measurement is given. So can I/where can I get replacement laces, and if so is it possible for me to thread it through the plastic channels without a special tool? I still have the lace lock and pully thing so its just the lace. The Wed'ze website was no use at all. (Can't work out how to post a picture as well!)
Thank you!!

, top tip: don't sit on chairlifts with the board edge resting against your left boot...
Don't know the Wed'ze boots, but what you describe does sound a bit similar to Burton laces - try a Burton dealer. You do need a special tool to thread the laces through the channels. I'm told Burton dealers really love people who bring boots in to have the laces replaced.

Thanks for the tips. I was just trying to avoid the cost of having a boot professionally re-laced. Looks like that's the only option.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
