Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi there,
I rarely use TO so maybe things have changed recently but I recently booked a trip with a TO. they offered insurance which we declined but now theyu want to know all the details of my insurance (company, policy #, telephone etc..).
Is that normal practice?
It's the first tiem I get such a request. My spam radar does not like this...
Thanks in advance

We often book with a TO and they do usually ask for the company name. I have been asked for the policy number but this would be unusual. Never been asked for the telephone no.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'd guess its reasonable for them to want to know if you're in a coma. If you trust other party members to deal with it in such an event I'd tell them to stick it.

, I thinks it's quite normal, as after all, it's their duty to look after your interests for the holiday and they are entitled to make sure you have adequate cover in an emergency. If you haven't insured through their insurers, then surely it's in your interest for them to be able to contact your insurance Company if you are unable to ?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I have had to provide such details for the last few years. I think they are worried about having to pick up the bill for claims etc for people who are not insured. The T&C of my recent holidays have required that I have suitable insurance.
