Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all, anyone out and about in Wengen that week (UK half term). All my ski buddies have pulled out last minute and after dropping daughter and wife at baby school I'm looking for someone (someones) to hang about with otherwise it's the old solo - boring, cover lots of ground 'cos there's nothing else to do sort of week.

I know the resort very well so if anyone's wanting to hang around with someone who knows the area then let me know. Male, 40s (just wink ) sandwich eater (on a budget!) advanced (except my powder action sucks!)

Hiya arriving late sunday night, children in ski school for the week and I am solo as my wife does not ski! Reasonably good skier however avoid off piste ........ Early 40 s & travelling from Dublin. Definately sandwiches here as we are mired! Let me know if i Smile nterested/

Try the Ski club of GB or the Downhill Only Club reps - they take out groups every day and you can have one day free. The clubhouse is open every evening between 6 and 7 in the Eiger Apartments just by the station.

Yup. Good way to meet up with folk yo may want to ski all week with. I pitched up on spec in January. and had a fantastic time. I do belong to the DHO - but as a non member you can ski with them for a day. If you are going off-piste with them, make sure you have the appropriate insurance to do so without a guide, though.
